After a loved one’s passing, you may need to deal with items such as driver’s licenses, license plates, and handicap placards that have specific rules governing how they are discarded. Because some of these items can be used toward identity theft, it is important you follow these rules.

All items (Driver’s License, Disabled Person Placard, License Plates) can be mailed to the address listed below for cancellation, along with a note about the deceased’s passing, which can be from the funeral home or a close loved one. Plates can also be canceled online at www.expresslane.org.
