After a death, you need to may want to cancel any newspapers, magazines, and journals to avoid additional charges, get refunds, and let people know. Sometimes though, you can just cancel the credit card, and let memberships lapse.

If you want to keep the subscriptions, you may need to transfer them.

1) Find a copy of all magazines, newspapers, and journals

2) Call the organization and ask to transfer or cancel the subscriptions

  • To remove a deceased relative from mailing lists, call the organization and provide their full name, address, and date of death

We wish we could help with this, but it’s very local, so we haven’t covered the full U.S. yet. If you want help, you can sign up for our concierge service by clicking here.
